I installed the latest version of messenger, only to find that i'ts more trouble than it's worth! I want my old one back can someone please help? I tried the system restore, and that won't work because it says that there were no changes to my comp. I just want to uninstall the latest updates to messenger, as well as those darn toolbars that get on my nerves anyway! However, I do not want to lose any of my contacts. What should I do?
And if it is not possible to roll back to the earlier version that I had, is there any jaws scripts for this? It is just that when I type, and if i have to erase something, it messes up my typing on the conversation windows. I don't know what to do! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi I ran into that same problem. You have to uninstall all of the latest tools of Win live in your add remove programs in the control pannel. After you do that, you can redownload Windows live 8.5 and reinstall it. And ignore the download alerts that pop up when you sign into windows live. I hope this helps.

yeh. I agree with the post2. I'm happy with window live8.5. so uninstall the newest one and all the toolbars from add/remove programs and install 8.5 without any toolbars. uncheck all the toolbars while installation itself.
raaj.
Same thing happened to me. i had to uninstall the new verssion and go and find windows live 2008 and reinstall it again and now it works how it was again. kind of frustrating though.
Ashley, what version of JFW were you using with Windows Live 2009? JAWS 10.0.1142 and later work correctly with WLM 2009.
